Friday, October 11th (5-11pm), Speciation and Sometimes Sound present “SYNC”, an evening of audiovisual pairings. Featuring the stunningly strange early undersea films of French director Jean Painlevé projected all night.  The films will be accompanied by the live sounds of ARBORVITÆ, and Co-Pilot, as well as special DJ sets by Dreas, and Sometimes Sound. Expect magic moments of synchronization as beautiful ambient / trippy / jazzy / psychedelic sounds meet the extraordinary imagery of “Science Is Fiction: 23 Films by Jean Painlevé”.
